Appeal for witnesses following altercation in York pub

North Yorkshire Police is appealing for witnesses and information in relation to an altercation in the Slug and Lettuce, at Low Ousegate in York.

The incident happened at around 3:50pm, on Saturday 27 May 2023 and involved a fight between two large groups during which several people were assaulted, and homophobic language is reported to have been used.

Officers are requesting the public’s assistance to help establish the full circumstances surrounding this public order offence.  In particular, they are appealing for information from potential witnesses who were present in Slug and Lettuce at the time.
