Appeal to locate dogs' owners

North Yorkshire Police is appealing for witnesses and information about a reported poaching incident that occurred in Kirby Sigston, near Northallerton.

In particular, we are appealing for information regarding the identity of a group of men seen on land in the area, on the night of Thursday 6 July 2023, and any vehicle they may be linked to.

Two lurcher-type dogs were subsequently located and taken into police possession. We urgently need information to identify the owners of these dogs. If they are your dogs, we want to hear from you before we have to treat them as abandoned and they are re-homed.
