Police in Skipton are investigating the theft of £2,000 worth of gardening equipment from a garage at Waltonwrays Cemetery on Carleton Road overnight between Monday and Tuesday (17-18 July 2023).
Officer are urging people to come forward if they recall any suspicious vehicles or people in the area during this time, or gardening equipment that has been offered for sale.
This includes any relevant dash-cam and ring doorbell footage that could help identify the culprits.
Inspector Julie Earnshaw, from the Craven Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: “It is a terrible crime to target premises connected to the cemetery.
“The stolen equipment is used to maintain the beautiful gardens at the crematorium and cemetery for Craven residents to visit and remember loved ones.
“Crimes of this nature must be dealt with robustly.”
