North Yorkshire Police is appealing for witnesses or CCTV and dashcam footage following a collision on Beaconsfield Street, York.
It happened between 5.30pm and 5.45pm on Friday (13 October).
A small blue vehicle collided with a 16-year-old boy who was taken to hospital for treatment.
He sustained a serious but not life-threatening injury.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the collision, or anyone who recalls seeing the vehicle prior to and after the incident, to get in touch as soon as possible to assist the investigation.
