Officers are appealing for witnesses and dash-cam footage following a single vehicle collision in the Selby area.
The incident occurred at around 8.30pm on Monday, 16 October on Roe Lane.
The car, a grey Seat Ibiza, was travelling in the direction of Hillam when it left the road.
North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service also attended the scene and stabilised the car before carrying out a roof removal.
Three occupants of the car, a male travelling as a passenger in the front of the car, and two female passengers travelling in the back of the car were taken to hospital by Yorkshire Ambulance Service.
