Officers are appealing for information after a man was assaulted by suspected poachers in the village of Newby near Stokesley.
It happened on Bromley lane at around 00:30 hours on Wednesday 25 October 2023 when the man was assaulted when he came across four men with a white, lurcher-type dog.
The victim suffered serious facial injuries and was treated at hospital later that day.
Officers are appealing to anyone who may have seen the four men in the Newby area late on the evening of Tuesday 24 October and the early hours of Wednesday morning, along with any suspicious vehicles.
They are also appealing to anyone who may have captured the men or their vehicle on dashcam footage or private CCTV/doorbell cameras.
