Police who arrested a man on suspicion of bike theft in York are now appealing to find the owner of the bike.
A man in his late 30s was arrested after he was spotted by CCTV operators at a cycle rack on Davygate at 5.30am last Tuesday (24 October).
He was taken into custody before being released under investigation, to allow police to make further enquiries.
As part of their investigation, officers are now trying to trace the owner of the dark blue Raleigh folding commuter bike pictured.
Proof of ownership will be required.
