North Yorkshire Police is investigating a serious collision involving a cyclist and a 4x4 in Selby.
It happened on Scott Road just before 10.40am on Monday (23 October 2023) and resulted in the cyclist, a 22-year-old man, being taken to hospital by ambulance with head, leg and arm injuries.

Whilst serious, his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
The driver of the grey VW Tiguan, a 58-year-old local man, has been arrested in connection with the collision. Following questioning, he has been released under investigation.
Scott Road remained closed between the leisure centre and Flaxley Road until 12.20pm while the emergency services worked at the scene.
Witnesses to the collision or motorist with relevant dash-cam footage are urged to make a report as soon as possible.
