North Yorkshire Police is appealing for witnesses and information about an incident near York Hospital.
It happened at a bus stop outside the hospital at 8.30pm on Friday, 24 November and involved a nurse we would like to talk to.
Officers believe she was approached by a man and that his behaviour amounted to inappropriate touching, causing the woman visible distress.
The suspect also caused other members of public wanting to support the nurse to fear for their safety as he was hostile and aggressive.
Police want to identify the man, as well as any witnesses who may provide more details.
He is described as white, tall, of proportionate build, with short dark hair and aged 40 to 50.
Officers have been trying to trace witnesses and the suspect since the end of November, following a number of lines of enquiry including CCTV. However, progress has been limited and officers and now turning to the public for assistance.
Victim support services are available to anyone affected by the incident, and their welfare is the police’s priority.
