North Yorkshire Police is appealing for witnesses and information about a house burglary in Hambleton, Selby.
It happened at an address on the A63 Main Road between 5.30pm and 6.30pm on Tuesday (30 January 2024).
Unknown offenders broke into the front door before making a search of the property for items to steal.
However, it appears that the homeowners disturbed the offenders who made off on foot onto the Main Road.
As part of the investigation, officers are appealing for information about anybody seen running from an address on that road between 5.30pm and 6.30pm on Tuesday.
They are also urging motorists to come forward who may have relevant dashcam footage whilst driving through Hambleton during this time.
