Police are appealing for information after an attempted burglary in a rural village in Selby district.
Four men in balaclavas attempted to break into a home in Kirk Smeaton.
However, they were disrupted during the incident and left in the same car they arrived in, which is believed to be a black or dark blue Saab.
At least one of the men is believed to have an Eastern European accent.
The incident happened at around 6.30pm on Thursday, 18 January and an investigation was launched.
Police are now appealing for any witnesses who have yet to come forward, or anyone else who has information that could help the investigation.
