North Yorkshire Police is appealing for witnesses and information about an attempted theft of moped that occurred in Upper Poppleton, York.
On the Thursday, 1 February three suspects went to a residential address on Station Road close to the railway crossing, and attempted to steal a moped.
They failed to steal it but did damage it in the process.
They then returned for a second attempt at around 7.30pm the next day but the moped had been moved. They were chased off through the village and towards the A59.
Officers are requesting the public’s assistance to help establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.
In particular police are asking anyone who may have witnessed this group in the area around this time to get in touch using the details below.
All three suspects were described as young males wearing dark clothing, with two of them being around 6ft in height and the third a little shorter.
