Appeal following a serious collision in York

We’re appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage following a serious collision on the A19, Shipton Road, York near to the junction of Howard Drive, York.

It happened at 7.48pm on Friday 15 March 2024 and involved a blue Ford Ranger pickup truck and a grey Yamaha motorcycle.

The motorcyclist sustained life threatening injuries and remains in hospital.

The road was closed for 7 hours while we investigated the scene and to allow the vehicles involved to be recovered.

We are requesting anyone who witnessed or has any dash camera footage that could assist our investigation to get in touch.
