Harrogate shop theft suspects come forward after seeing CCTV appeal

On Monday afternoon (15 April), we circulated CCTV images of a man and woman in connection with the theft of clothing and footwear from TK Maxx in the Victoria Shopping Centre, Harrogate, on Sunday 25 February 2024.  

A local couple aged in their 50s saw the appeal and came forward to the police to admit the theft.

With agreement from the store manager, a Community Resolution Disposal was applied which involved the couple paying for the goods valued over £100 within 24 hours.

The investigation has now been closed and we ask that the CCTV images are removed from websites and social media as soon as possible
