Police are investigating a suspected hate-related assault against a man aged in his 50s that happened in Brayton on Sunday 16 June 2024.
It happened at around 8.30pm on Doncaster Road when the man sustained facial injuries in the incident.
The victim, who was not admitted to hospital, believes he was targeted because he is a Goth.
He said a group of eight white males aged in their late teens were involved in the assault.
Two teenage girls, aged around 14 or 15, were also with the group at the time.
Officers are appealing to anyone who was in the area at the time and witnessed the incident and to anyone with private CCTV or doorbell footage that may have captured the incident or the lead up to it, to get in touch.
As well as identifying and locating the suspects, we also need to speak to the two teenage girls who were present. They are urged to come forward to help the investigation.
