York: Woman sought in connection with assault inside shop

We’ve released a CCTV image as part of an ongoing investigation into an assault inside the Spar shop on Huntington Road in York.
It happened at around 9.50pm on Saturday 3 August 2024.
A woman suspect became irate with staff members after being stopped from leaving the shop without paying for the items she had in her possession.
During this interaction, the suspect is alleged to have assaulted a member of staff.
We’re particularly appealing for information about identity of the woman in the CCTV image so that we can speak with her in connection with the offence.
