Appeal following attempted burglary near Selby

We’re appealing for information about an attempted burglary that occurred in the Whitley area.

It happened at 03:28am yesterday morning (Sunday 10 November 2024) at a property on Templar Close.The victim heard a loud noise and has come downstairs to see that someone has smashed a window. CCTV shows a man wearing gloves and a hat looking through windows of the property and trying the front door. It is believed that suspect fled the area after he was disturbed.

We’re particularly appealing for information about a saloon car that was seen and CCTV from Templar Close or in the surrounding area.
