Man assaulted in York city centre

We’re appealing for information about an assault that occurred in York city centre.

It happened at midnight yesterday (Sunday, 1 December) on Micklegate, and involved a younger man assaulting an older man resulting in serious head injuries which needed hospital treatment.

We’re particularly appealing for information about a man who is described as 19 to 20 years old, white, 6ft 1ins tall with brown hair wearing.

He wore a navy RAB jacket, skinny blue jeans and green trainers.
