A 22-year-old man and 27-year-old woman have been arrested in connection with theft from a motor vehicle and criminal damage, following multiple reports of attempted break-ins to vehicles and properties in the east Tadcaster area overnight.
Officers investigating the incidents discovered a trail of blood at one of the break-in locations, which led them to the Kelbar Close area of Tadcaster, where the pair were arrested.
They remain in custody for questioning.
We’re appealing to residents in the area to check their properties and vehicles. If you notice any signs of interference or have information or CCTV footage that could assist our investigation, please get in touch.
