We’re appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage following a collision on Chaloners Road in York.
It happened between 6.10pm and 6.15pm on 7 January 2025 and involved a black vehicle, possibly a 4x4 type car.
At the time a teenage girl was stood on the Zebra crossing closest to the junction with Wains Grove waiting to cross the road
As the girl began to cross, she was hit by the black vehicle that ran over her foot causing a broken toe.
The vehicle slowed down initially but did not stop at the scene.
We’re appealing for the driver of the black car and any witnesses to the collision, anyone who may have seen the vehicle prior to the collision, or anyone with relevant dashcam footage or information regarding the vehicle details to contact us.
