North Yorkshire Police are appealing for information following a 2-in-1 burglary at Sherburn-In-Elmet in the early hours of Tuesday 7 January.
A 2-in-1 burglary is where a burglar breaks into your home with the specific purpose of getting hold of your car keys to steal your car.
The suspects forced their way into a house on Moorland Way sometime between 11.45pm on 6 January and 8am on Tuesday 7 January before taking two sets of car keys.
They then stole two vehicles from the driveway of the address, a green Audi Q5 with the registration LRS 735 and a silver Vauxhall Corsa with the registration VK22 LKJ.
We’re particularly appealing for anyone who may have seen suspicious people or vehicles in the area at this time, have seen either of the vehicles or who may have CCTV/doorbell footage that could help with our investigation.
Please email [email protected] or call North Yorkshire Police on 101, and ask for PC Alice Gould.
Alternatively, you can contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or via their website.
