Appeal for information following blow torch burglary attempts in Acomb

We are investigating three overnight burglary attempts that occurred between Tuesday 4 January and Wednesday 5 January 2025 in the Acomb area of York.

Offenders used blow torches to break door locks, in what we believe to be to steal car keys for vehicles parked on driveways.

The incidents took place in the early hours on Ashbourne Way, Spey Bank and Bellhouse Way.

We are appealing for help to identify the suspects and for any information or CCTV footage that could assist our investigation.
