We’re appealing for information about a fraud that occurred on Neville Street in Skipton at 9.30am on Wednesday (5 February 2025).
Two men in a white 10-reg Ford Connect van with ladders on the roof, attended addresses offering various building maintenance services.
At one, they offered a guttering cleaning service and agreed the price of £30.
On gaining the money, they have then driven off without any efforts to complete the agreed work.
As part of ongoing efforts to trace the suspects, we are asking residents in the area to report similar incidents on Wednesday and to pass on any relevant CCTV, doorbell or dashcam footage that could help identify the men and vehicle involved.
Please email [email protected] if you have any information that could help our investigation.
Alternatively, you can call North Yorkshire Police on 101, select option 2 and ask for Colin Irvine, or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or via their website.
