Detectives have released CCTV images of two men they would like to speak with following a knife point robbery which happened in the early hours of this morning (Friday 21 February 2025).
At approximately 5.10am, two suspects entered the kiosk at the Shell Garage on the southbound carriageway of the A1(m) and threatened the cashier with a knife before stealing cash, vodka and cigarettes.
Anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area or who may have relevant CCTV or dashcam footage should contact North Yorkshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 12250031893. To report anonymously, contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
Detective Chief Inspector Shaun Page from North Yorkshire Police said: “This would have been a traumatic incident for the victim and although he wasn’t injured, he is understandably feeling distressed.
“We are determined to track down the offenders, a full investigation is now underway to identify those who are responsible.
“If you have any information about this incident, or you recognise the individuals pictured on the CCTV images, please let us know. We believe that they could have information to assist our investigation.”
