Did you witness a disturbance in the Hadrian Avenue and Osbaldwick lane area of York last night (Sunday 23 March)?
It began at around 5.50pm when a group of young males stole a cycle from outside a shop on Tang Hall Lane.
The victim, a man in his 20s, followed the group to Hadrian Avenue, challenged them and recovered his cycle. He was then threatened by the group and chased to Osbaldwick Lane where they then assaulted him before a member of the public intervened.
The victim was left with no injuries but was very shaken up by the incident. He managed to keep hold of his cycle.
We’re appealing for witnesses to any of the incidents and to anyone in the area with CCTV, doorbell footage or dashcam footage that may may have caught the any of the incidents on camera, to get in touch.
