Appeal to identify potential key witness to serious assault in York city centre

We’ve issued this CCTV image of a man who may have witnessed a serious assault on High Ousegate in York.

It happened at 4.22am on Saturday 8 March 2025 outside the Urban Outfitters store.

The incident involved two women and two men.

The victim sustained a five-inch cut to his left cheek.

Two local women, aged 42 and 35, and a local 47-year-old man, have been arrested and released on conditional bail while enquiries continue.
