Detectives investigating an attempted knife-point robbery in Stokesley are appealing for a key witness to come forward.
The incident happened at around 3.25pm on Monday (3 March 2025) when the 15-year-old victim was walking on Station Road.
He was approached by two other boys who are reported to have made threats with a knife while attempting to steal the victim’s mobile phone.
An unknown man intervened, and the two suspects made off on their bicycles.
Officers are appealing for this man to come forward to assist the investigation.
Following enquiries, two boys aged 14 and 12 were arrested in the local area at around 6pm. They have been released on conditional bail while the investigation continues.
