We are appealing for information to help identify a man involved in an assault in York.
It happened on Walmgate, near the junction with Hope Street, at about 10pm on Wednesday 12 February 2025.
Two women were approached by a lone white man wearing a black hooded puffer jacket, who asked them for the time.
He then spat at the women, causing shock and disgust.
We are appealing for information to help identify this man.
He may also be responsible for a similar incident earlier that evening in the Foss Island area.
Please email [email protected] if you have any information that could help our investigation.
