Police in York are appealing for witnesses and information after a 60-year-old man was assaulted near Scarborough Bridge.
It happened at the Clifton side of the bridge, at around 11pm on Thursday 21 October 2021 when the victim suffered facial injuries after being assaulted by at least two young males.
Officers are appealing for witnesses and information including details of anybody seen in the area at the time.
It is believed there were at least two young males involved in the incident, both wearing hoodies, but no further details are known regarding their description.
Anyone with information that could assist the investigation should contact North Yorkshire Police on 101, select option 2, and ask for PC Herrick.
