Incident at Markham Crescent, York

UPDATE: 11.08am 29 October 2021

Following the death of a 35 year-old man at a residential address on Markham Crescent, York on Wednesday 27 October 2021 a 34 year-old man and a 39 year-old man have been charged with murder. 

The two men appeared at York Magistrates Court this morning (Friday 29 October 2021) where they were remanded in custody.

A third man arrested in relation to the death has been released on police bail whilst enquiries continue.

UPDATE: 6pm 28 October 2021

Further to our previous statement regarding an incident at an address on Markham Crescent in York shortly before 5.30pm on Wednesday evening (27 October 2021).

North Yorkshire Police can confirm that a 35 year-old man was found dead at the property. The man was not a resident of the property.

Three men have been arrested in relation to this incident and are currently in police custody.

Investigations are ongoing to establish the full circumstances of the man’s death.

Shortly before 5.30pm last night (Wednesday 27 October 2021) police were called to an incident at a residential address on Markham Crescent in York.

Three men have been arrested and enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances of the incident.

A scene guard is currently in place and is expected to remain for some time.
