Police statement regarding death in York

Shortly after 11.30pm on Tuesday 19 October 2021 police were called by the Yorkshire Ambulance Service to attend a residential property on Markham Crescent, York after a man at the address was found deceased.
The circumstances of the man’s death are currently under investigation. A 34 year old man and a 40 year old man were arrested in connection with this incident and subsequently released under investigation whilst enquiries continue.
A scene guard remains in place.
