Police at the scene of two collisions in Leyburn and Great Ayton

Officers are currently at the scene of two collisions that involve road closures.
The first is on Wensley Road in Leyburn.
The second is on Great Ayton High Street.
Both roads are closed for the foreseeable future whilst emergency services respond.
Motorists and members of the public are asked to avoid the areas and please seek alternative routes until further notice.

A collision was reported just before 1pm on 19 January involving a vehicle emerging from a parking space that collided with two other vehicles.
The driver of the vehicle, a woman in her 80s sustained a head injury and was airlifted to hospital. The other vehicles were unoccupied. The road was closed and reopened at around 4.50pm.

A collision was reported at 11.50am on 19 January involving two cars travelling in opposite directions on the A684 between Leyburn and the village of Wensley. One person sustained slight injuries and the other sustained a suspected neck injury. No injuries were believed life-threatening. The road was closed and reopened at around 2.30pm
