As part of the ongoing work of the Scarborough CAP (Community Alcohol Partnerships), officers from the local Licensing Team delivered a safety presentation this week to Student Union and welfare representatives at Coventry University’s Scarborough campus.
The Welfare And Vulnerability Engagement (WAVE) session on Tuesday included insights into vulnerability awareness in licensed premises, covering issues such as:
PCSO Rowland Baxter, who attended along with PC Debbie Chadwick and PC Alison Graham, said: “It was a very worthwhile session which we hope will increase student safety through greater awareness of the potential issues and vulnerabilities faced in licensed premises.
“Our presentation was delivered during the national Neighbourhood Policing Week of Action which showcases and celebrates this type of community engagement.
“We’re very proud to play our part in keeping people safe from harm.”
