North Yorkshire Police is appealing for witnesses and information following instances of graffiti which have been painted on historic monuments in York.
The criminal damage is believed to have occurred at least five different locations over the weekend (26 / 27 February 2022) . These include York’s city walls and St Olave’s church on Marygate.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesman said: “Members of the public are quite rightly shocked by these instances of vandalism. I would urge anyone who has any information to contact us “.
