Earlier today, North Yorkshire Police issued a CCTV appeal about an incident in Sherburn in Elmet earlier this year.
The incident happened on North Drive at approx. 1.15am on 15 January 2022 when a taxi driver was threatened with violence by a male in the street.
The same male then made threats to damage property belonging to the taxi driver.
Officers issued a CCTV appeal to ask members of the public to get in touch if they recognised the male pictured as they believed he would have information that would help their investigation.
Less than an hour after the CCTV appeal was first published the male has been identified.
Officers would like to thank the media and public for sharing the appeal.
