On 29 April, North Yorkshire Police issued a still image of a male they wanted to speak to following an assault in Richmond.
The incident happened at Market Place, Richmond at 12.40pm on Wednesday 13 April 2022 and involved a man assaulting a woman whilst she was doing a news report.
Officers asked members of the public to get in touch if they recognised the person in the image as it was believed that he could have information that could help the investigation.
The male in the image has now been identified and is assisting officers with their enquiries.
Officers have thanked everyone who shared the appeal, including the media, and also thanked those who called in with information.
Please can the media kindly remove the man’s image from all platforms.
