At around 3am this morning (Wednesday, 14 June) officers were called to Ouse Bridge in York.
This was following several reports of a concern for safety of a woman in the area.
Our colleagues from North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service along with Yorkshire Ambulance were also in attendance.
Road closures were put in place as we all worked together to bring the incident to a safe conclusion.
The woman is now receiving the help and support she needs.

This was following several reports of a concern for safety of a woman in the area.
As at 7.30am officer remain at the scene and the area remains closed.
Our colleagues from North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service along with Yorkshire Ambulance are also in attendance.
This is an ongoing incident and members of the public are asked to avoid the area and take alternative routes.
