Traffic update - Road now open following serious collision in Skipton this morning

Issues at 9.57am Thursday 17 August 

Traffic officers are currently at the scene of a serious road traffic collision at Skibeden in Skipton which occurred at approximately 7am this morning (Thursday 17 August)

The collision involved a single motorcycle and one rider. No other vehicles were involved.

The roads surrounding the area around the roundabout of the A59 and A65 are closed and are likely to be for some time whilst police work at the scene. Motorists are advised to avoid the area.

Officers are requesting anyone who witnessed the incident to come forward, especially those with dashcam footage to help with the investigation.
