On Friday evening (22 December), our digital display van has been in and around York and Scarborough as part of the effort to deter fatalities and serious injuries caused by one punch incidents in the night-time economy.
Detective Superintendent Jonathan Sygrove and Detective Inspector Dominic Holroyd, from the Major Investigation Team, were on hand to talk to interested passers-by about the campaign outside York Minster.
They emphasised key messages such as looking out for your mates on a night out.
And if things start to get a bit heated - often over something innocuous such as a spilled drink or getting bumped into in a busy bar - STOP, THINK and WALK AWAY to avoid a violent confrontation.
