At around 10pm last night, we received information about a potential cloned vehicle travelling southbound on the A1, later identified as stolen during a 2-in-1 burglary in Durham.
Our officers immediately headed towards the area and sighted the vehicle.
And with assistance from colleagues at Durham Constabulary, the vehicle was swiftly brought to a stop and the driver was arrested.
Meanwhile, we received a report of an attempted burglary at a property in Moulton with several high value vehicles on site.
The alarm triggered a vehicle to speed off leaving two occupants to flee on foot.
Our colleagues at the National Police Air Service (NPAS) were called in to assist, and with their help, another vehicle was stopped shortly afterwards, resulting in the arrest of the two remaining suspects.
The three men, aged 20, 36 and 48 remain in custody for questioning and our investigation is ongoing.
Thanks to the member of public who called in with information and enabled us to respond to the burglary quickly.
