Light aircraft incident near Sherburn-in-Elmet

North Yorkshire Police was called at 5.35pm on 17 July 2024 to reports of a light aircraft crash near Sherburn-in-Elmet airfield.
Officers attended the scene of the incident in a wooded area close to the airfield.
The two occupants of the aircraft were taken to hospital with suspected slight injuries.
The incident has been referred to the Air Accident Investigation Branch.
