Earlier this week, we issued a reappeal to locate a 48-year-old man from Catterick in connection with three burglaries in the Richmond area.
Thanks to the invaluable support from the public, we were able to track him down, even after he attempted to evade our officers in his vehicle yesterday.
We're pleased to report that, following a police pursuit and the assistance of one of our canine colleagues, he was apprehended in the Stapleton area.
He is now in custody on suspicion of three counts of burglary, a public order offence, failure to stop for police, dangerous driving, and possession of an offensive weapon.
A 41-year-old woman is also in custody on suspicion of conspiracy to commit burglary.
Our thanks as always to you, our communities, for calling in with information and continued support.
You are our eyes and ears, and your contributions make a significant difference in our efforts to combat crime across the county.
Thank you for standing with us.
