You may have seen police and other emergency services at premises in Marne Road, Catterick Garrison on Wednesday morning.
We were called at around 7.50am on 2 October by staff at a residential premises after they were concerned about a package that had been delivered to the building.
The Army’s Explosive Ordnance Disposal team were also called. A cordon was put in place and people were evacuated from the building as a precaution.
Thankfully the package was not suspicious and contained clothing.
The staff did the right thing in reporting their concerns to the police and we are pleased that it turned out not to be more serious.
