In the early hours of this morning, a resident in the Falsgrave area of Scarborough was alerted by her doorbell camera to motion in her rear garden.
Upon reviewing the footage, she noticed a suspect attempting to access her shed. She confronted the individual, who fled the scene.
Upon inspection, she found the shed door ajar. Thankfully, nothing was taken.
Officers quickly located a 13-year-old boy nearby, wearing clothing that matched the description from the CCTV footage.
The individual was arrested on suspicion of attempted burglary and remains in custody for questioning.
