We’ve been gathering evidence and speaking to residents during burglary patrols in Sutton-in-Craven today.
A house was burgled overnight between Tuesday and Wednesday this week.
Thieves took car keys but did not manage to make off with the vehicle.
Several other attempted burglaries in the village have since come to light after residents checked their security footage.
We responded to the initial report, and today our Neighbourhood Policing Team has been in the area to:
Neighbourhood Policing Sergeant Neil Sisson said: “We’ve spoken to a large number of residents today who are understandably concerned about the recent incidents in their community.
“I’d like to reassure them that we’re pursuing all lines of enquiry in this investigation and will continue to work closely with the community to ensure people feel and stay safe.
“If you have video footage or information that could help and we’ve yet to speak to you, please do get in touch. A small piece of information could make a big difference.”
