A man has been arrested after a police pursuit in York on Boxing Day.
On the afternoon of Thursday 26 December, North Yorkshire Police officers moved in to stop a white Ford Transit van at a location west of the city, but it failed to stop.
The driver made off, pursued by specially-trained roads policing officers. At Hessay, near the junction with the A59, officers deployed a stinger, and the vehicle was brought to a halt.
At about 5.30pm, the driver, a man in his 30s, was arrested on suspicion of failing to stop, dangerous driving, failing to provide a specimen of breath for analysis, and obstructing a police officer. He remains in custody at this time.
