Three people have been arrested and a machete and drugs seized as part of a warrant operation in the early hours of this morning.
A quantity of cash was also found after officers entered a property in Fossway, York.
A 40-year-old man from York, an 18-year-old woman from Leeds and a 16-year-old male from Leeds were arrested in connection with the incident.
They were taken into custody where they currently remain while further enquiries are carried out.
The drugs are believed to be class-A and class-B substances and will be sent for analysis as part of the investigation.
The warrant was planned and executed by a number of teams, including the Firearms Support Unit and York Neighbourhood Policing Team.
Sergeant Stuart Henderson, of York Outer Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: “As this warrant operation shows, we work day and night to tackle suspected drugs and weapons offences and keep communities safe.
“That work is paying off. In the past six months, crime in North Yorkshire has reduced by 4.6% overall, with serious violent crime down by almost 6%. We’re also making more arrests.
“We’re here for residents and we’re on their side. We’re also working around the clock to make North Yorkshire a no-go area for criminals.”
