Two people have been arrested on suspicion of a drug dealing offence after the local neighbourhood policing team stopped a car at Three Lakes near Selby.
Officers pulled the Peugeot 3008 on Saturday morning at approximately 11.45am.
A man initially ran but officers gave chase before he was detained nearby. Inside the vehicle officers discovered an amount of suspected class A drugs.
As a result, a man and a woman aged in their 20s were arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a class A drug.
Both were later released under investigation as enquiries continue.
