Serious incident avoided after plastic tied across road

North Yorkshire Police is appealing for witnesses and information about a potentially dangerous incident that occurred on Main Street, Sutton in Craven.

It happened near to the junction of Albert Street at about 11pm on Thursday 12 February 2015. At this time a member of the public discovered that a length of green plastic, similar to a clothes line, had been tied across the carriageway at chest height.

This reckless act could easily have resulted in serious injury.

We are conducting enquiries and are requesting the public’s assistance to help identify the persons responsible.
