Witness appeal after assault on A64 at Staxton

North Yorkshire Police is appealing for witnesses and information about an assault which occurred at the side of the A64 near to Staxton.

It happened on A64 between 3.30am and 4am on 30 March 2015 and  a 19-year-old man from Rotherham was injured.

The man suffered an injury to his leg and face and was taken to Scarborough Hospital for treatment .

The offender is believed to have got out a black coloured VW Golf with a pink R D sticker down the rear nearside of the door above the wheel arch .

We are conducting enquiries and are requesting the public’s assistance to help determine the full circumstances surrounding the incident.

In particular, we are appealing for information about the owner of the black Golf.
